Note: This upadte is 4r oly asia Moto G Dual SIM (XT 1033) version

1. Download Kitkat 4.4.2 Moto G Dual SIM Asia (http://d-h.st/WM6)

The filename is Blur_Version.14.85.4.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.0 3.zip.

2. Copy it to your phone’s memory and turn off the phone.

3. Now you have to navigate to the phone’s fastboot menu. Press the “volume down” button and then press the “Power button”. Hold down both buttons for a few seconds until you get to the screen below.

4. The “volume up” button acts as the selection button. in this menu. Press the volume down key to navigate and highlight “Recovery”. Press the volume down button to enter the recovery mode.

5. Now highlight the “Update from sdcard option” and press the Power button. Select the zip file which you downloaded, press the power button to begin the update.

Thats it, now just sit back and relax as your phone is updated to the Official 4.4.2 version.

The update process may take about 5 minutes to finish , after which it will display an “install from sd card complete” message like the one below.

Now reboot the phone and enjoy the Kit Kat.

Restore Moto G To Stock and Downgrade Firmware[Guide]

Downloads Required:

(XT1031, XT1032, XT1033, XT1034)

Note: Files with _umtsds in their names are meant for Dual Sim variants of Moto G only.

Download & install adb fastbood driver Here (http://d-h.st/asC)

Motorola Driver (https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/88481)

Mfastboot driver (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4PT9WP-u_z9NXRBWF9EV2lGcWs/edit)

Download the necessary Firmware File and extract it somewhere.

Enable USB Debugging Mode. Go-to Settings > Developers Option and Tick the USB debugging

Power Off your device and Open in Bootloader mode.How? Press and hold Power + Volume Down button till you see some text on screen

Now Open the folder where you have extracted the Firmware files and open cmd there.How? Hold Shift Key and Right Click anywhere in the folder then Click Open Command Prompt Here

If your Firmware File has tar.gz extension,

Then type in the following:

flashall.bat /eu

Wait for the Firmware files to be flashed on your device, Moto G. At the end your Phone will automatically reboot.

Now if your Firmware files have xml.zip extension, then:

Type in the following commands the cmd/terminal window one-by-one and press enter at the end of each command.

mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk1
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk2
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk3
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot reboot


Your phone will reboot automatically.
Once your device boots up, go through the initial set-up and Enjoy
